Bobby Brown: 'I Wasn't The One Who Got Whitney On Drugs'

BOBBY BROWN has denied that he was the one responsible for the untimely death of ex-wife Whitney Houston.
Brown, who has been accused of introducing the I Will Always Love You star to drugs during their relationship, claimed 'I was not the one who got Whitney on drugs at all' in a recent interview.
Speaking to The Today Show's Matt Lauer, Brown said: "I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn't the one that got Whitney on drugs at all."
Brown, who married Whitney in 1993, says drugs were a part of the singer's life 'way way before' they got together. They later divorced in 2007.
"It's just unexplainable how one could, [say that I] got her addicted to drugs. I'm not the reason she's gone."
Brown added: "I was hurt because, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years, I felt that she was ... I didn't know she was struggling with it still."
Body found
Whitney, 48, was found dead in the bathtub of her fourth-floor hotel room in the Beverly Hills Hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
According to the official Los Angeles County Coroner's (LACC) office 'no trauma or foul play is suspected' in her death.
The LACC also reported that there were traces of cocaine, marijuana, an anti-anxiety drug, a muscle relaxant and an allergy medication in the star's system.
When Lauer asked the 43-year-old how it felt to continuously be blamed as the reason the singer's life went downhill, Brown said: "It makes me feel terrible."

"But I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us instead of time looking through the bubble, they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together."
