HUNDREDS INJURED FROM TOXIC FUMES COMING FROM JAMAICAN POSTOFFICE

More than 600 people have been evacuated from the Central Sorting Office of the Post and Telecoms Department in Kingston because of noxious fumes.

Latest reports say 14 people had to be rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital.

Some of them are reported to have fainted.

It’s reported that sometime after 10 o'clock this morning, staff members became suspicious after detecting an unusual scent in the building especially on the first floor.

Officials from the Ministry of Health, the National Environment and Planning Agency and the Jamaica Fire Brigade are now on the scene.

The Police have also cordon-off the area.
